Vice President's wife, Oludolapo Osinbajo lauds Airtel, urges support for needy people

The wife of the Vice President,  Oludolapo Osinbajo, has commended Airtel, a mobile telecommunications giant, for transforming the lives of needy people through its "Airtel Touching Lives " reality programme.

Airtel Touching Lives is a corporate social responsibility initiative that seeks to offer practical relief, succour, hope, opportunities and credible platforms to liberate and empower the underprivileged, disadvantaged and hard-to-reach persons in the society.

Osinbajo made the commendation at the Season 2 edition of the programme held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

She described the programme as inspiring and enjoined other companies to emulate the Airtel example.

She said that people should look beyond their immediate homes and see the needy around them to help.

Making reference to a woman who was brutally battered by her husband, Osinbajo added that some might not need physical help but emotional help.

She said her prayer for Nigeria is that as they choose to touch lives, the Lord will repair, restore and re-direct Nigeria.
