PDP POSTPONS KOGI GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY






THE NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE (NWC) OF THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) 

HAS POSTPONED THE KOGI GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY OF THE PARTY EARLIER 

SCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 10.

THIS IS CONTAINED IN A STATEMENT SIGNED BY CHIEF OLISA METUH, THE NATIONAL 

PUBLICITY SECRETARY OF THE PARTY IN ABUJA.

METUH SAID IN THE STATEMENT THAT THE NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE POSTPONED 

THE PRIMARY DUE TO SOME LOGISTIC ISSUES AND HAD FIXED SEPT. 14 AS THE NEW DATE 

FOR THE EXERCISE.

HE NOTED THAT THE NWC REASSURES MEMBERS OF THE PARTY AND OTHER CRITICAL 

STAKEHOLDERS, PARTICULARLY THE GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANTS, OF A TRANSPARENT, 

CREDIBLE, FREE AND FAIR PRIMARY ELECTION.

METUH SAID THE NWC ALSO DIRECTED ALL MEMBERS OF THE PARTY TO BE GUIDED BY 

THE NEW DATE.
