The leader of the group, Mrs Comfort Ayodele, who made the commendation on Wednesday in Lokoja, described Ayoade’s appointment as `morale booster’ to women in the state.
She said that the appointment had raised the voice of women and restored their confidence in democracy.
She added that the appointment was a clear departure from previous administrations in the state which did not give women enough space to operate.
Ayodele said that women in the state would reciprocate the gesture by supporting the programmes and policies of the new administration.
While congratulating the new SSG, Ayodele expressed the hope that her appointment and performances in office would open doors of opportunities for women the state.
``We are prepared to mobilise Kogi women to support the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello because all his decisions so far are in the best interest of the people.
``WDCI also support the decision of the government to carry out staff audit to weed out ghost workers from its payroll,” Ayodele said.
