The Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been called
upon to give attention to women by
considering them for appointment in his
cabinet.
In a separate interview with our news crew, the Chairperson, International Fedreration of
female lawyers (FIDA) Kogi state Branch
Falilat Musa, Barrister Christina Adejumo and Barrister Janet Makun
recalled that a week to the November 21st governorship election all aspirants signed a
pact with women in the state.
Speaking on the need to carry women along in the appointment
into various offices, Barrister Janet Makun urged the present administration to
imitate the federal government by appointing women of reputable standards as
not only commissioners but Special advisers.
Makun said during the governorship election, women came out
in their numbers to vote and thus should not be sidelined during various
appointments.
She recalled that the
late Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Abubakar audu
alongside other aspirants signed a pact with women in the state.

female lawyers (FIDA) Kogi state Branch
Falilat Musa and Barrister Christina Adejumo both said it has been
discovered that after elections women are being sidelined.
They urged the present government to carry women along in
every of their activities.
