Borno governor lauds UNHCR over humanitarian assistance

Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno has commended the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for its humanitarian assistance to displaced persons in the North East Zone and neighbouring countries.

Borno to partner with UN Human Council on rehabilitation of victims of insurgency

The Borno government said on Wednesday that would collaborate with the UN Human Right Council in the rehabilitation of victims of Boko Haram insurgency in the state.


Alhaji Usman Durkuwa, the Deputy Governor said this while receiving a team of UN rapporteurs on Human Rights in Maiduguri.
Durkuwa represented Gov. Kashim Shettima at the event.
