Omowunmi Akinnifesi, former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2005, has debuted a new clothing line.

A statement by the former beauty queen and creative designer said the theme and name of the outfit known as ``Omowunmi'' label had been created for the urban woman with a social lifestyle.

Teenager remanded in prison for allegedly killing friend

AnEbute Metta Chief Magistrates' Court, Lagos, on Wednesday ordered the remand of Oluwatobi Olukoya, 19, in prison custody for allegedly macheting his friend to death.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Ajibade, ordered that the accused, facing a count charge of murder, be remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons pending the release of legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Federal Character Commission canvasses equal treatment of Nigerians

Alhaji Shetima Abba, the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), says Nigerians must be treated equally in terms of employment and other benefits wherever they reside.

Abba, who spoke on Wednesday in Abuja at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) forum, said this was critical to further boost national unity.

He stressed that less emphasis should be placed on state of origin while every Nigerian must be treated equally, especially when such an individual had resided for long in his place of residence.
