Security Consciousness in Nigeria Today

 Every year, thousands of Nigerians end in unwanted internally displaced shelters. If the situation is not caused by the recurring spate of unfortunate killings in the Northern parts of Nigeria, it may be due to a clash between cult groups or by some agitators.

Borno IDPs get UN cash assistance

The United Nations (UN) Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Maiduguri said on Sunday that many Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state had benefited from its different cash support programme aimed at improving their living condition.

The House of Representatives on Thursday resolved to contribute N36 million to take care of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Northeast.
