still on kogi bailout fund

The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has described as a sad episode how the efforts by someone who desire to govern the State would do things that is inimical to the workers of the State.

Awoniyi, made the remarks in a chart with newsmen, said the bailout funds to States was a unique window, Kudos to President Muhammadu Buhari, for states to access the loan at 9% interest with a 20 year repayment period, lamented that the efforts is been delayed for workers to get their legitimate entitlements.

While noting that the State Government has met the CBN’s condition to submit names of beneficiaries of the amount requested for, the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of all beneficiaries, and amount due to each worker, Awoniyi, lamented a situation where some politician think the money would be used for election.

While noting that many of the State workers voted for the APC at the last Presidential election, Awoniyi, described as sad the efforts to delay what is due to the State and the workers.

The people of the State Awoniyi disclosed would see a renew vigour on the part of the Capt Wada led administration if re-elected in the completion of all on-going projects and the commencement of new ones.

The on-going governorship campaign, Awoniyi explained was more of a needs assessment, as it has allowed the governor to have a better understanding of the needs of the people, appealed for vote for the PDP, as the State he explains stands to derive so much benefit from the second term of the Wada led administration, describing him as a man of integrity, who abhors corruption, and whose administration has made sacrifice beyond the normal, in prudently using the resources accruing to the State effectively.
