NDE trains 50 women in cosmetics' production

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Osogbo, Osun, had commenced a five-day training for 50 women in the state on how they could produce various cosmetics.


Mr Kunle Obayan, the NDE state coordinator, while declaring the training open, said the workshop was aimed at creating job opportunities for the unemployed and making them self-reliant in the society.

Obayan said the philosophy of skills’ acquisition and business training of NDE was in line with the Federal Government’s policy of mass jobs’ creation.

He said that in recent times, several women cooperative groups have participated and benefitted from various trainings of the agency.

Obayan urged public and private institutions to collaborate with the agency, especially, in the area of jobs creation for national development.

He assured the participants that the establishment would always be available to render adequate support to its trainees to enhance their business operations and make them very profitable.

The women were trained in how to produce hair cream, liquid soap, antiseptic disinfectant, making of air freshener, detergent, perfume, baby oil and laundry soap.
